New! English Country Garden Quilt Pattern

Today I have an exciting new pattern to share with you which celebrates all the best bits of an English Country Garden! The design is a collaboration between myself and three (3) other British quilters and celebrates all of our favourite bits about gardening…..keep on reading to find out how you can make your own English Country Garden Quilt!

Introducing the English Country Garden Quilt Pattern. This fun design is a collaboration of four designers and includes gardening themed quilt blocks and two layout options. Perfect for using with scraps and trying out new techniques.

The Blocks

We each designed four (4) blocks, and across the patterns we cover a range of different techniques. All of the blocks finish at 12″ square so as well as combining them to make the English Garden Quilt you can also use them individually to make other projects such as cushions for any gardening fans in your life!

All of these blocks are great for using scrap fabrics that you have to hand, or you can use a Fat Quarter bundle for a more co-ordinated look. We worked with the fabulous Liberty Fabrics who very kindly gifted us the Liberty London Parks Picnic fabric in pastels which complimented the design so well.

Making the English Country Garden Quilt

If you want to join in with making all of the blocks, you will need to visit each designer to buy the pattern and follow the block instructions.

And then you can choose which layout option you want to make! We started off with a traditional row layout but then couldn’t resist adding in a Country Setting layout, a nod to the more formal gardens you get at lovely big country houses.
